Her biggest success story to date has been the collaboration with iconic brand, May Gibbs. Nerida, along with her team, projected the license to a whole new level. She curated and designed the fashion fabric ranges for May Gibbs and achieved such heights that she acts as creative director for the May Gibbs Style Guides, as well as planning ranges for May Gibbs in Spotlight and Big W.
In 2021, Nerida has achieved a huge milestone and cemented her authority in the Surface Pattern Design Industry, with the release of the worlds first ever mobile app for sourcing art, illustration and pattern design.

Meet Nerida!
Nerida Hansen is the mastermind behind the fabric empire, Nerida Hansen Fabrics. Over time she has established herself as the go-to contact for surface pattern designers worldwide.
Nerida first embarked on a career in textiles in 2008, with the launch of her sporting apparel for men and women. In 2013, she entered the world of licensing via a role with Target Australia. It was here that she created a name for herself, working alongside design houses such as Disney and Warner Brothers and curating the children’s collections of bedding and decor for Target.
During her time at Target, Nerida pitched her idea to support independent artists, but the business was not ready. Believing in herself and her vision, Nerida, left her job and started representing artists. Before long Nerida was selling and licensing designs to some of the world’s big retailers & brands including Harrods, Debenhams, Hallmark. Camelbak, Cotton On, Spotlight, Proctor Gamble & many, many more.
Nerida gained rapport with fabric manufacturers throughout Asia, and as a result, in 2017 she produced her first collection of digitally and ethically printed fabrics. It was a sell out!
Fast forward to today where she is at the top of her game in the textiles market with a stand-alone business. Nerida continues to work closely with local and international illustrators and surface art designers to support, license and represent.
